Tonight was spaghetti bologaise

An easy dinner tonight. It was the second serving of the first batch of slow cooked bolognasaie sause. Home made pasta was the best part! It is cheap to use store bought pasta - not cheaper but easier and less time consuming, I got home from work to find pasta in the fridge resting. The recipe is:
5 eggs lightly beaten, 2 table spoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of salt - halve if you wish.
To this we add 3 cups of 00 or normal flour and put in the mixer with the dough hook. It is easy and tastes so much better than store bought pasta. The best part is we get two meals from this quantity.

Welcome

Welcome to our way of making simple savings in every day living. You will be amazed at what my husband does to prove that we are saving so much! This has been easy to do - once a week we shop and this is a blog that will diarise what we do from week to week. I hope y enjoy reading about what we are doing.
This is not rocket science and most of the ideas I am sure will be common knowledge but what is different is the dollar by dollar tracking that my husband is doing. The interest that he has in saving money for the future is something that he is committed to in a mega way. This blog is my way of showing him that I do support him.
Here's to simple saving, living simply and simply saving!

My mum always said, "Keep it simple silly!"
